We LOVE General Conference and look forward to listening every 6 months. If you are a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints you know what we are talking about. This is a time when we have the opportunity to listen to our prophet, the 12 apostles and other general authorities in a worldwide conference. One of my favorite ways to send a little note is with a simple saying and candy. For some reason candy and a note really does say a lot...even though it is such a simple thing and most of the time pretty cheesy.
When it comes to little notes...lets just say I use them a lot but the thing I use them the very most for are to say: "I Love You," "Thank You," or for a special Heatherhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02337412987939009595noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6833902194510546125.post-85750571255138302202014-03-13T22:46:00.000-06:002014-03-13T22:46:07.618-06:00Boys Quiet Book

You have probably seen lots of tutorials for carseat canopies...they are kind of a big thing right now.
There is a great video tutorial here.
I made the canopy reversible, different material on each side so I can mix it up. I also made flower clips that come on and off.

I am excited to introduce one of my favorite shops for photography backdrops...Swanky Prints.
Swanky Prints offers quality vinyl backdrops and is home to the reversible backdrop. I absolutely love the idea of reversible backdrops, not only does it eliminate having to store additional backdrops but it makes it easy to switch backdrops out during photo sessions.

This is my cute 4 year old! He wanted Valentine's like this to hand our at preschool. My cute sister in law made these for her son when he was 4 so we copied her! Isn't it a cute idea!?
It's super easy to make these just take a picture like the one above. Or get creative, maybe you want to be licking the sucker! ; ) We made a couple edits. I decided to take on the HUGE project of making a quiet book for each of my children for Christmas. This really was a big project and took a lot more time then I thought it would. They turned out really cute though and my kids love playing with them so I guess it was worth the effort. Here is our church quiet book!!

I love this little craft because it adds a lot of dimension to my decorating. What is it?
This is a block of wood covered with scrapbook paper. I drilled a hole in the top of the block and stuffed it with wire. I then curled the tops of the wire with pliers and put pictures through the curled wire.
Now its a picture tree!!

Holly and I (Heather) used to talk about starting our own photography business together. We really enjoy taking pictures and both find a lot of joy in capturing special moments of our friends and family. We have learned a lot about photography and wanted to share a few simple ways to improve the quality of the pictures you take of your kids.

It is already half way through November and we are excited to share some of the fun ways we preserve memories in our home...we will continue to share some of these ideas next year as we have both come to really enjoy this area of motherhood!
Back in January we started a series to help us focus on the many different roles we have as mothers, if you are interested we have included a little Heather and Hollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02192252463391734056noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6833902194510546125.post-79653607959109259162013-10-29T07:00:00.000-06:002013-10-29T07:00:06.043-06:00Printable Dinner Menu
I wrote a whole separate post on how I meal plan here, it might help you understand why I created the dinner menu board the way I did.
When it comes to meal planning I would encourage you to do what works for you! We all have our own way of doing things and so please tweak your board to fit your family. I have included a full sheet of blank meal cards in the printable for this Heather and Hollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02192252463391734056noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6833902194510546125.post-5511943127197274772013-10-28T07:00:00.000-06:002013-10-28T22:02:57.779-06:00Meal Planning
It seems like the hardest part of meal
planning is getting started… deciding what’s for dinner.
How do I meal plan?
First, I
have found that I do better when I plan one
week at a time as opposed to two weeks or a full month. I think a big part
of this is because I go grocery shopping
weekly and I like to plan our meals around sales and what is in season. I also
have a better idea of Heather and Hollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02192252463391734056noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6833902194510546125.post-66837942297968737732013-10-27T15:54:00.000-06:002013-10-27T15:54:06.551-06:00Recipe Stand
