Delicious & Colorful Cereal Bars!

To bad these are LONG gone…just looking at the picture makes me want one. These are super easy to make and SO yummy. They are made just like you would make rice crispy treats except instead of adding the rice crispy you add Trix, Dyno-bites or Fruity Pebbles.

Here is the recipe:

3 Tablespoons of Margarine or Butter

1 Package (10 oz) regular marshmallows or 4 cups of mini marshmallows

6 cups of cereal. (Trix or fruity pebbles)

Melt the mallows and butter in microwave or on stovetop. Once melted add cereal and stir well. Spray a cookie sheet with cooking spray and spread the mixture into pan to cool. Once cooled cut into square and enjoy!

Fun with Colors and Kool-Aid!

When I was a kid I remember making homemade popsicles with fruit juice and ice molds. This memory is what spurred the idea of using Kool-aid. Kool-aid comes in all kinds of colors, so it’s great to help teach your little ones. It’s also a fun way to switch it up a bit. Since Blue is my little mans favorite, that’s the color we choose, but you could do whatever.

We poured the Kool-aid into ice cube molds and even added some blueberry’s to half.

Then we stuck it in the freezer for a few hours and enjoyed this yummy treat.

You can also add them to a glass of water or 7-up and watch the color change!!

Another thing that is kinda fun is to do the same thing with food coloring and add the ice cubes to your child’s bubble bath. It’s fun for them to chase the ice cubes around see the colors melt away! ; )

Lucky Charms for Breakfast

I think we ate lucky charms for breakfast just about every day this week. My 2 year old never got sick of them though and each day he would pull out the rainbow marshmallows and hold them up for me to see while saying, “look mom, it’s a rainbow.”

We found this yummy Wacky Mac at the grocery store and had it for dinner...it was a big hit with the kids!

We also made a fruit tray and then put the fruit on Kabobs!
